Part 1 Crossing the Tay Bridge over to Dundee today had a completely different meaning to me than ever before. Countless times I have made that journey from my home in Fife. It was the city of my birth, Ninewells Hospital, lunchtime 29th January 1985. It was the city where I graduated with a 2:1 degree in Politics and International Relations in 2010 at the University of Dundee. It was the city where I was first allowed to go by myself on the bus, the first nightclub I went to, the Mardi Gras and the city with the best all night bakers I’ve come across, Clark’s and the city that along with the 3 J’s gave us The Beano and The Dandy. Today though I looked at this city and instead of it being Dundee, City of Discover, it was Dundee, City that voted YES.
