Highland continued with their unbeaten run in the North of Scotland league on Saturday as they swept Buckie aside in Inverness.

Saif Ullah featured with the bat for the home side making 59 as Highland made a gettable total of 150.

For Buckie Joe Hough took 3 for 28.

Buckie pushed hard including 45 from the consistent John Corsie but with 3 wickets each for Kacey Clement and Irtaza Hassan it was too much for the Coasters who closed on 120 all out.

Plenty of runs at the Nairn Links with Northern Counties the visitors.

Batting first the Inverness side put on 244 for 6 as Dave Dugdale continued his form with 70 and an unbeaten 37 from Robert Smith. 

61 for Martin Bronkhorst helped his side along but with Matty Lattimer taking 3 for 33 and Patrick Cronin 3 for 21, it was too much for Nairn who closed on 191 all out.

Huntly set a massive total for hosts Elgin to chase at the Cooper Park.

Rolling back the years, Mike Massie made 79 assisted by Russell Mann who posted 77 in their 256-run total.

The Elgin reply saw youngster Euan Fairgrieve back in touch, making 41 from their 145 total whilst Huntly stalwart Jim Lodge took 3 for 24.

Forres took full points against Ross County at Castle Leod.

Choosing to bat first, the Ross-shire side went off like a train but were pegged back when Doug Scott (28) and Graeme Carney (40) were out and despite 54 from Steve Embleton the Ross County innings closed on 169 for 7, the pick of the Forres bowlers being Steve Barron 3 for 13.

The Forres reply was equally swift, the hundred coming up in the 13th over.

Pal Dhami finished unbeaten on 99 as Forres finished on 171 for 2 in over 27.

RAF Lossiemouth hosted Fort William with the visiting side batting first.

33 from Ewan McNeill and an unbeaten 32 from Kevin O’Meara were the highlights for the Garrison side as they set 148 all out.

In reply the service side were removed for 77.

McNeill featured once again, this time taking 3 for 13.
