Police in Inverness are appealing for assistance to help trace a man and young child who were in the Bellfield Road area of Inverness at around 6.30pm on Wednesday evening (June 6, 2018).

A member of the public contacted officers with concerns regarding the pair and enquiries are ongoing to establish the exact nature of the report.

The man has been described as being approximately 30-years-old, of a medium build with mousy brown light-coloured hair which was pulled back in a pony-tail.

The girl is described as being around six or seven-years-old, of a slim build with long blonde hair.

Commenting Inspector Murdo MacLeod said:

“We are currently carrying out enquiries to establish the exact circumstances surrounding concerns reported by a member of the public and would ask anyone with any information, or who may have been in the area at the time, to contact Police on 101 quoting ref. no. NN/7091/18.

“Likewise, if you recognize yourself as being the man involved, or if you know who these people might be, please contact us as soon as possible.”
