Officers to Revisit Scene After Man Found Injured in Inverness
Police in Inverness will revisit the scene of an incident last weekend where a man was found seriously injured in the Hilton area of the city.
The 50-year-old man was found unresponsive near Dow's Bar on Balloan Road at around 9.10pm on Saturday, May 5.
He was taken to Raigmore Hospital and then to Aberdeen Royal Infirmary for treatment to a serious but non-life-threatening head injury.
There are not thought to be any suspicious circumstances.
However, officers are working to establish how he suffered his injuries.
Officers are intending to revisit the area this Saturday evening (May 12) to speak to patrons in an effort to establish the injured man's movements.
The injured man is described as being about 5ft 10in and of stocky build with receding, greying hair.
He was wearing a white T-shirt, blue jeans, black boots and glasses.
Commenting Inspector James Rice said:
"While we do not believe the man was the victim of a crime, we are working to establish his movements before he was found.
"This is to help us establish how he may have sustained the serious injury which he has suffered.
"I would ask anyone who believes they saw a man matching this description last Saturday evening to let us know.
"It is possible that he may have been in the Church Street area in the city centre earlier in the evening as well.
"You may have thought nothing of what you saw at the time but it could be helpful in establishing the full circumstances.
"You can contact police in Inverness on 101, quoting reference NN6043/18."
