Scotland’s animal welfare charity is hosting open days at their centres throughout Scotland on 6 May to encourage the public to come along, have fun and meet the animals in their care who are looking for a forever home!

Scottish SPCA Inverness Animal Rescue and Rehoming Centre Manager Elaine Floyd is appealing to kind hearted locals to donate toiletries, wine and any unwanted gifts they might have lying around from Christmas.

Elaine said:

“We’re looking forward to the open day and hope we can find new homes for some of the many animals in our care.

“We’ll be running different events on the day and would really appreciate any donations for the raffle and tombola.

“The money raised on the day will help abused, abandoned and injured animals throughout Scotland.

“As an animal welfare charity, we receive no government or lottery funding so we rely entirely on the support of the public.”

Donations can be handed into the centre at 5 Inshes, Inverness IV2 5BA.
