Thefts From Forestry Sites in Moray

Police Officers in Moray have appealed for witnesses following a number of reports of thefts from Forestry sites in the Moray area.

Items including equipment and tools have been taken.

The incidents are understood to have happened in the Forres and Lhanbryde areas between the end of January and yesterday, February, 6.

The value of the items taken is estimated to be around a low four-figure sum of money.

Commenting Inspector Graeme Allan said:

"We are urging anyone who has noticed anything unusual or suspicious in the area to get in touch with us.

“We would also ask that anyone who is offered equipment or tools related to the Forestry industry contacts us.

"We continue to urge operators in the area to be vigilant with regards storage and security measures.

“If you notice anything suspicious or if you have information in relation to these thefts please contact police on 101 using reference number CF0028780218 for Forres and CF0029590218 for Elgin.
