Theft From Commercial Premises, Inverness
Police in Inverness are appealing for witnesses after various thefts and attempted housebreakings at commercial premises in the Culcabock area of the city.
One incident occurred sometime between 5am and 5.30am on Monday, December 25 when a shop window at RS McColls on Culcabock Road was smashed to force entry with various items being stolen from inside.
A second incident happened at the same shop later on Christmas Day between 9pm and 9.30pm when entry was again forced by the same window, which had been boarded up.
Another incident occurred sometime between 8am on Sunday, December 24 and 1pm on Monday, December 25, where damage was caused to the front door of Kingswell Service Station on Old Perth Road, Inverness.
Reporting officer Detective Constable Sarah Gordon said:
"We are asking anybody who may have seen anyone acting suspiciously in the area or who has information about what happened to get in touch with us on 101, quoting reference number NN32587/17
"You can also call Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111 if you prefer to remain anonymous."
Officers are also appealing for information following a theft by housebreaking in the Kinmylies area of the city.
The incident occurred sometime between 8pm on Tuesday, December 26 and 7.30am on Wednesday, December 27 whereby entry was forced to the Mumtaz takeaway restaurant on Charleston Court, with a quantity of cash being stolen from within.
Detective Constable Gordon said:
"We are keeping an open mind and considering all possibilities about whether there is any link between these incidents.
"Again, I would ask anybody who saw anything suspicious or who has information which they feel may be helpful to call us on 101, quoting reference number NN32695/17 or contact Crimestoppers."
