Thefts From Tesco Inshes

Three men charged after alleged theft from Inverness supermarket.

Three men aged 36, 37 and 38-years-old from the Liverpool area have been charged in connection with an alleged theft from the Tesco supermarket at Inshes in Inverness.

A quantity of alcohol valued in high three figures was taken from the shop shortly after 2.30pm on Tuesday, December 19.

The men are anticipated to appear at Inverness Sheriff Court today (Wednesday, December 20).

Enquiries are ongoing into the incident and officers are particularly keen to speak to the driver of white Ford Transit van which was seen in the area at the time.

Commenting Inspector Alasdair Macleod said:

"We are grateful to the staff at the supermarket and members of the public who assisted with this enquiry.

"Anybody who has any concerns about acquisitive crime should report these to us on 101 or Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111.

"Any further information about the incident can be passed to us using reference NN32083/17."
