Man Charged Following RTA in Lerwick
A man has been charged in connection with a road traffic collision in Lerwick on Sunday evening.
The 26-year-old was arrested and charged with a number of road traffic offences following the incident in a car park off Holmsgarth Road at about 7.05pm, which involved a van and a pedestrian.
The man remains in police custody and a report has been sent to the procurator fiscal.
The 70-year-old male pedestrian was taken to Gilbert Bain Hospital in Lerwick with serious injuries, which are not believed to be life-threatening.
