Point 5k Success

The warm up was led by Marina Murray.

More than 150 runners and walkers took part in this year’s Point 5k in aid of The Leanne Fund.

The 5k's youngest participant Danny Macdonald with his gran Rhona Maclean and Chrisetta Mitchell of The Leanne Fund.

Participants in the event, held on Saturday June 2nd, enjoyed glorious sunshine as they made their way around the course.

Several dog owners took their pets along for the challenge.

Chrisetta Mitchell, Development Manager for The Leanne Fund said:

“It was a great day and we would like to say a big thank you to everyone who came along and took part.

“More than £1500 was raised for the Fund on the day.

“We rely on the events such as the Point 5k to assist us in providing support services for those affected by Cystic Fibrosis and their families.”
